I was wondering why she had that strange expression on her face.

I believe the idea is that he's explaining the world to her so thoroughly that it's like she can 'see.' Dima's supposed to be her eyes through the program, and the speed up would be her finally feeling like she truly can 'see' through him. I've thought that the ending is them being separated, like she needs to be independent and has to see the world on her own terms, despite her blindness.
At least, that's my opinion.
