2018 Olympic Figure Skating Ladies FS

Bradie seems like a lovely girl. But this program is embarassing for USFS. Back to back against the Russians, and comparing it to the other ladies, it looks juniorish. USFS should never have put out their national champion with a program like this. If it looks to good to be true, it's too good to be true, and thinking the USA was going to find at the last minute a magical jumping bean to go head to toe with the Russians was simply not realistic.

And it was more than just falling on jumps. The extention on the spins was not there. It looked like she gave up at times on the spins and laybacks. The whole program reminded me of Rachel Flatts - another lovely girl but simply not able to compete with the best in the world. She has the basics and could be refined, I just hope this experienfce doesn't give her a Sasha Cohen like complex with falling.

Bradie Tennell has nice elements. Considering this was her first competition she held it together quite well. She just needs a new choreographer because that was boring.

I think I agree. Tall skaters can be really elegant and sometimes I don't mind more angular positions but she seems to be fighting her body here. The inbetweens were just ugly to me.

I don’t think height is actually an impediment — I mean, yes, it’s not necessarily valued in FS, but there have been many skaters with the same body type as Bradie that I’ve enjoyed. It’s just that she seems to be devoid of maturity, elegance, and composure while going for an ice princess vibe. Girl, go for Lady Gaga and some modern angles. It may not be “you,” but it would work better.

Poor Bradie. I can't imagine the pressure. Two messy skates weren't what she was hoping for I know. But I do love that step sequence. And yikes at Maria and Karen on their phones...

Good luck Gabby!

Guess she decided to get rid of Gladiator - the music for that so weird too! Is that how it sounded in the movie, because I can't believe it LOL.

Oh no, she's down!

but she clearly won nationals, what else could they do?

Yeah, I don't understand. Were they supposed to unfairly hold up someone who did a subpar job? I do understand if she's not everyone's cup of tea, though. She could use a lot of work to get to the next level, and it is unfortunate that the Olympics is where she wasn't on compared to the rest of her season, but she's done pretty good to get to the Olympics and win Nationals. I can give her a little more time compared to skaters that have been around forever. Consistency does help if you are a U.S. lady.

Bradie has an more interesting step sequence than the rest of the program, so I hope she gets a more interesting program next year.

Considering she has so little senior international experience, that wasn't bad.

I honestly think the mistakes weren't nerves. Seems like she kind of spaced out a bit. I agree it wasn't bad.

Bradie can just do her thing really.
