I'm not seeing her performance at all and am instead getting pretty vivid flashbacks of Lipnitskaya's FS due to this music. I guess this is a way to watch figure skating also.

This is usually me when anyone tries to pick Michelle Kwan music.

I actually really like this and her style of skating - whole body movement, musicality, physical expressions. Pity the performance didn't live up to what she did earlier in the season. She seems tenative and never let go with freedom that she is capable of.

Another GS soulmate? Yeah, that was an excellent costume for the piece. In keeping with the music, expressive but not tacky or overdone. If the skirt were longer and I had the body....

Nicole Schott

Nice footwork into the 3F to open. A bit forward on the 3T+3T but completed fine. Hand-down on the second 3F and no combo (might be < and it was called <). Nice phrasing int he choreography. Turn between the 3S+2T. Fairly slow into the 3Lo, a bit stuck on the landing. Positions could be better in the flying spin (Level 4). Patient curves in teh footwork (Level 4). Okay 2A and 2A+2T with not much speed. Alright layback spin (Level 3). Better speed through the last spin but a few positions that weren't sustained (Level 3).

A few problems with the landings on the jumps, with not a lot of full running edges. She'll get the component marks, a bit for the emotion to Schindler's List as one would expect. She could use a bit more speed to make her edgework fuller and bigger. It won't score high technically without the Lutz, but a fair performance for Schott here.

I like Nicole much more than the other German lady representing Germany for many years. She wears a five-ring necklace. I wonder if this program has anything to do with the Munich Olympics.

For me, Nicole is the anti-Kailani, she looks so introverted out there. She's improved a lot as a skater though.

Maybe that's why she did Schindler's list? Lipnitskaia was very introverted and the music worked well with that. I don't mind her doing Schindler's List but wish she'd went with a different cut, the soundtrack is lovely and like some other's have said I was reminsicing over Lipnitskaia's skate more than enjoy Schott's skate.

And many more died in Soviet gulags even before the war. Every people group has been a victim or perpetrator at some point in history. Anyone can be horrified by the Holocaust.
