2018 Olympic Figure Skating Ladies FS

This is what Zhenya needs to achieve:

To beat Alina, she will need to get a combined score of at least 157.96. Assuming she gets ~77 on PCS, which is what she got at Euro's, she will need 81 on TES.

Her base value for TES is 62.76.

Assuming GOE gets her +2 on every step sequence and +1 on every spin, Zhenya will still need ~1.6 from every jump. While I believe in Zhenya's capacity as a competitor, this feels a bit far-fetched for me...

Zhenya needs:

157.97 to overtake Alina, for gold
149.42 to overtake Kaetlyn for silver
140.78 to overtake Satoko for bronze

Her personal best is 160.46 from the 2017 World Team Trophy so it's still doable to win

But isn't it odd that Canada has medaled in all disciplines EXCEPT the men? That was always our strongest division....

the tide always turns at some point ;)

I mean 20 years ago look at Russian ladies compared to pairs and ice dancing, its like night and day

If she goes clean here, her PCS will rise.

Huge score for Kaetlyn! I still remember seeing her few years ago fall down about 4 times at Skate Canada...one of the hardest skate to watch. So happy for Kaetlyn!

Weird dress but I kind of like it. The chattering voices weirded me out though. Thought people in the crowd were just being loud.

I always hope maturity beats out inexperience but it is a close call between the two Russians. Either would be OK.
