I don’t think she meant she wants anyone to faulter as much as she was just speaking for Nathan’s chances at a medal and all he can was to go sit and see what happens. I can see how it may sound nefarious but I suspect it was just unfortunate wording, They will gush over anyone who goes clean in the last group and especially Yuzu.

That said...I find any nationalistic commentating to be extremely annoying. That’s the Olympics for ya.

Is it bad that I’m American but would not have given Nathan +2 or +3 on some of those quads? I mean, the 4lutz was forward, and the 4flip combo had almost no speed coming out..... sometimes his quads are not very nice to look at.

His jumps don't deserve +2 and +3s. Even his quad toes are leaning forward almost every time. I would give his clean jumps 0 or +1.

But I like Patrick's skates a lot better than I do Nathan's.
