I have a different way of thinking if INDEED TES do affect PCS. 5 quads FS is such an increidble Olympic historical record that do deserves 2 or 3 points bonus. Also perhaps judges felt generous and feel sorry for him, so that may have had some tilt effect too, human emotions are a funny and unpredictable thing.

You don’t get pity points. I’m sorry, but that’s insane. If he wanted to truly climb back into contention, he needed to turn in a skate as good as Hanyu’s world-record “Hope & Legacy” performance. He didn’t. He absolutely didn’t.

And thanks to Chen’s inflation, Chan is absolutely screwed. The only way anyone is getting high PCS now is with sufficient TES and so much obvious artistry that a low PCS score is going to create a Adelina-Yuna II situation.

You know, I didn’t hate him before, and this isn’t even his fault, but Nathan Chen has ruined this night, and I hope he finishes as low as possible, even if that is fifth (which is still too high).

Why should Scott only be seen as a hypeman when he has the same credentials as Tara and Johnny (an Olympic champion/national champion skater)?

Scott is at heart and an entertainer which is a salesman. Tara & Johnny are more attention seekers to me.

Looking at the FS scores this season, Chen is guaranteed 5th and will beat Uno and Jin if they make even a little mistake.

That's exactly what I didn't want to happen. Jin and Uno have their own issues, but still deserve much higher PCS than Nathan, who, as crazy as his comeback is, does not deserved his PCS. I know for a casual fan there is no controversy but this situation is so wrong. Hope the Top 4 will edge him out.

Nathan would need some help from at least two of the top four to make it in the podium. That would be a miracle. But like I said earlier, miracle do happen!

= 29.41 behind Yuzu
= 25.32 behind Javi. Need to only score 189.78 to top Nate (Eur LP =191.73 )
= 21.90 behind Shoma. Need to score at least 193.19 to top Nate (4C LP =197.45 )
= 21.05 behind Boyang. Need to score at least 194.04 to top Nate (4C LP = 200.78)

Yeah... for me its not the problem if Nathan medals. The problem is - if that is going to happen it means we will watch a very bad Olympic competition

I think at the time people were sick of cheerleaders for commentators. TJ came in smartly snarky and were what the public wanted at the time - some real ness. Now after a polarizing election, we are tired of sniping comments and want a more balanced approach. That's my take...

I don't mean to be ageist or anything but Scott and Sandra simply got old. They weren't cool or relevant enough. It was time for them to move on and get fresh blood in the commentary booth to appeal to a new younger generation. It happens every two decades or so. It will happen at some point years from now to Johnny and Tara too

Chen quads are so bland. He is practically standing still on every landing with no speed and basically just unwraps his free leg of the other one. Also the pcs is ridiculously high. It was basically a jump marathon.

This. His quads have no flow-out and are of subpar quality compared to the other quad-dudes.

At this rate, Nathan Chen is going to be the next Patrick Chan, but propped up on quads + PCS instead of PCS.
