Why did Nathan attempt a 4F in the warm-up and then changed it to lutz and toeloop for the competition?![]()
He was probably planning 4F as the second quad but thought he should go for 4T+3T after missing the opening jump.

My boy Nate really died for everyone else in this group and I can't decide if it was worth it
Similar situation to Evan in Torino- i don't recall how far back Evan was after short but he rebounded to an excellent free program and then 4 years later the gold. I hope nathan has his evan moment though I don't know if it's in his personality to just skate free with no inhibitions the way Adam is skating.
Basically 4 men going for the podium at this point- with an outside chance for the Russian.
Podium is set - Gold- Yuzuru, Silver- Javier-, Bronze Shoma.
Lemme just take a moment to say that I HOLD THE JUDGING PANEL IN CONTEMPT for giving Boyang less PCS than Kolyada and Rippon.
His performance, his program, and his skating were breathtakingly beautiful.
Go show them tomorrow, Boyang, and WIN EVERYTHING. [emoji630][emoji966][emoji120]
Yes, we're talking a meltdown of Chernobyl proportion.
On the other hand, it looks like there are enough Pooh Bears for every child in Korea. South AND North.
topic: Visiting Pripyat is legitimately on my bucket list of places to visit.
It’s the geographer and urban exploration enthusiast in me.Does Nathan fall a lot in practice?
Hardly. Love Hanyu, but he is an inconsistent long program skater. Any one of the top four could win.
Heartbroken for Nathan. He needs a mental coach.
giving a big fat middle finger to the Russian fed., that's what he's doing! :cool14:
Boyand is unlikely to snatch the gold this year, but by 2022??? Ahahaha, what am I saying, it's completely impossible to predict anything in Men's Figure Skating.

His average SP score on the GP circuit was 102.66. This wasn't about preparation.
Anyone has Gracie's number?
Poor Nathan, and his PCS is dropping. He needs to buck up next season.
He is so stunning. I will be heartbroken if he doesn't get gold here. My dream for Aliona came true last night, so please gold for Yuzu, too
