what is the worst result for US pairs

surely this will be it unless there was a year where they didn't qualify at all

I just looked it up. The worst finishes by American pairs teams were 2014, 2010, and 1994 where the lowest American pairs teams all came in 14th place. The pairs were Felicia Zhang / Nathan Bartholomay in 2014, Caydee Denney / Jeremy Barrett in 2010, and Karen Courtland / Todd Reynolds in 1994.

Actually...aren't those the same costumes from yesterday? If so...that's weird because I've never seen a skater wear the same costume for both programs!

Well, they probably have an extremely limited budget so.....I am just glad they are here.

She was an ice skater for Australia very long ago.

The dude is Jim Van Horne from Canada who has no connection to figure skating at all...so why he's here is anyone's guess.

We had one of the British Eurosports guy's Chris I think with Belinda at Sochi so this a real step down.

Jim is enjoying himself and knows not to talk too much at least.

US needs to have pairs that are pierce and competitive! Not just we're happy we made it to the Olympics. Still love Chis & Alexa though. Kudos on the quad twist!!!

But I think it's because PAIRS is the hardest discipline in figure skating and not too many are willing to be thrown by a partner and expect to land it every time. It requires a strong man to lift the partner and maintain balance while gliding on the ice. No wonder most of these men can't do triple jumps. It's RARE, but Russian men usually dominates it.

Maybe they'll stop giving Yuzu Pooh bears, then. That tissue box is an omamori/lucky charm for him, but he's not a huge fan of all Pooh bears in general, poor guy

Alexa and Chris dedicated their skate to the victims of the Florida shooting... It must be hard for them, especially because they train in Florida.
I agree with Terry. This all seems kind of silly in retrospect.

Alexa and Chris train in Colorado.

(Not saying that it makes their feelings for the Florida victims any less meaningful. :sad4: )
