Skating first out of the group is the best. You just go out there and do your best, no time to stress, think or adjust to what others have done. It worked for Mirai and it worked for Savchenko/Massot.

The Candyman program is a terrible choice to start with. Don't know why they chose this for an Olympic year.
I love Siu/Han, but honestly Aliona & Bruno's program is better: more creative/unique choreography executed on a larger scale. After watching their GPF performance, I felt their skating is on a higher level than Siu/Han. I think the placement is right.

One of my first memories was watching the Olympics at age four - I vividly remember three people: Michelle, Marina Anissina, and Aljona
(Aljona mostly because of her eyeshadow).
Every Olympics I would look for her.

I'm so happy. I'm crying. She finally did it. After five Olympics, three partners, ten world medals, she finally did it.

Agreed. They had minor mistakes and unfortunately, it cost them the gold this time, but their career is not over! They won their first Olympic medal, and this is not a tragedy (the way it would've been for Aljona had she not gotten the gold...)
