2018 Olympic Figure Skating Pairs SP

There are no shorttrack events tomorrow. Is the rink needed for any other sport?

I don't believe so, but they're sticking to normal ISU protocol about FS/FD qualifications. I think it stinks for the few teams/skaters who won't get to their FS/FD but I'm not surprised.

I love it!! And it made a lot of people watch figure skating (although some fans can be annoying sometime - comparing real skaters to the fictional ones and whatnot)

I haven't got around to watching it yet, but I remember they borrowed a bunch of moves from Tessa and Scott's latch program, which was cute.

Conners / Krasnopolski (ISR)

Fair throw triple twist, but that catch wasn't that clean. Sbs 3T done fine but a little out of unison on the landing. Clean throw triple flip into an alright death spiral that could be slightly faster. Smooth reverse rotational lift with clear positions. Step sequence had a decent number of steps but a bit shallow in the depth of edge. Combination was a tad slow as well.

Overall, they could use more speed and more expression to match the Ghost romantic music. But a clean skate that they should be happy with.

Uh...

I guess I'm flattered at the power you think I have, but in reality, I don't actually control what either NBC or the IOC does.

It's not a secret that people schedule sporting events to maximize what they view as their primary consumer, which are mostly US viewers/Western Europe viewers which in turn screws up TV scheduling for the rest of the world

And the American commentator on what I guess is the International Feed (with the Aussie female commentator) keeps going on about how full it is. Like I can't see it is at least half empty.

Well, it is 10 am on a Wednesday. Korean's don't get a lot of paid leave. You can really only blame NBC for insisting this happen in the morning.
