2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 1

In terms of emptiness it's 10 AM over there, first day, opening ceremony hasn't even happened yet, and out of the events and especially figure skating events, probably...one of...the least interesting? to people. So I'd say it's probably a combination of the newness/small impact of the event and the day/time. I imagine tons of spectators aren't even in the country or city yet.

It's very fitting that a Korean skater started off the competition. And did so extremely well!

Solid start by Cha! :) It must have been a huge challenge to be the first skater, especially when he's skating at home. I found the music too big for him, but he's young and has time to develop.

No ISU purple TES box? We have the NBC red light green light toddler box instead? Dangit, I was looking forward to the TES box.

Tara & Johnny back to basics, figure skating 101. I have a feeling we're gonna hear a lot of this over the next couple weeks...

I came across an article the other day about why ice dance is a different sport from figure skating. I died a little on the inside.

:palmf:
