2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 1

Ahhhh! So much excitement to watch and my NBC app has the video on such a small screen! And can hardly hear the music. I'm weak.

Oh dear - rough skate by Paul... Those jumps were really off. There's something nice about his skating though, and I enjoyed the bent-leg spin. Guilty pleasure: jazzy Wonderwall! ;)

Oh my gosh, I may have to watch the olympic channel instead of NBC TV coverage if Tara doesn't shut up!!

Good morning Aliona lol

Geez I wonder what the skaters think of this schedule, including those who don't have to compete that day

Paul Fentz

Step-out and both hands down on the opening 4T. A fall on the 3A, ouch. Nice wind-in catchfoot camel after the butterfly entry in the spin. 3-turn between the 3Lz and 3T, but good on him for getting the combo in. Spin could be better centered overall and his final spin might lose a level.

Fentz was very focused on this performance but it just wasn't jazzy enough. He has the choreography but he lacks expression, performance, and intensity. I don't feel like he believes in the Wonderwall music at all.
