Fall on the 4T, had a lean on the takeoff edge. Rough lean on the 3Lz so only a 2T on the combo. Beautifully strong camel spin. Hard fall on the 3A. Gorgeous Level 4 step sequence with sweeping, curving edges.

Sad to see Chan have such a rough skate. I was really hoping that he got at least one clean skate at an Olympics. This might hurt Team Canada's chances at the gold, though. At least this was at the Team event and not at the individual event, but his jumps really went wrong today.

I wonder what kind of deal was made behind the scenes to not have Boyang Jin skate the Team Event. It favors Canada and Russia, creating less of a gap between their Men and Nathan Chen, or between their Men and whoever else skates better, in the case that their inconsistent Men fail to deliver (as Patrick Chan just failed to do).
