It would make the team event worth-while at least. It's so dumb to have a team event when it's just USA-Bronze and then just juggling between Russian/Canada for Gold - and not because they are just so exceptional among great competitors - but because Japan or Italy or China just can't field anybody in a few categories.

Very, very true.

But you know, if Russian men have another bomb in the free, which is possible if Kolyada is skating it, then it might get tight if Japan skates well because the free has far fewer point differences. Because look, the Japanese are first in pairs now, which is their weakest discipline. And Kolyada finished 8th. It's a stretch but you never know.

Thissss. EVERY time they showed a fluff piece for Nathan for the 10th time I felt sick to my stomach (or it could have been the 3 cups of coffee)! They jinxed him so bad!!
