Wait hold up, when are the medal ceremonies? Are they going to do like they did in Sochi and give the medals at a designated place where everyone gets their medals? Or will they get the medals at the rink?

the medal is for skaters not for federation
today skate Canada shown they are not willing to support anyone but the national champions, again..
My heart really goes out for the #2 Canadian skaters who were told today by their federation that they are not worthy to represent their country, that they don't trust them and don't support them

Skate Canada is being strategic they have obviously been planning this for 2 years when they brought back virtue and Moyer because they were worried that there dance teams couldn't deliver in the team event... they have picked the right athletes prepared them for this moment and how to plan if they win congratulations to Skate Canada they deserve it

The US obviously cares more about the stories they'll get sacrificing a few score points for
Nagasu and Rippon, Then to let an Ice dance team that will most likely score the same
amount of points as the Shibs get a deserved Olympic medal

I guess it's nice that Rippon could be a Gay athlete winning bronze at the Olympics
But then again, Eric Radford is just about to be a Gay Olympic champion, So...

Got to be catty here for a moment and say maybe the reason the US is putting Adam and Mirai into the team event is if they win a medal they will go away and stop coming to Nationals

I think Chock/Bates were more than deserving for getting a team medal as well. More than Rippon....

He hasn't even skated yet for god sake. Leave him alone. He did not put himself on the team the USFSA did.

I couldn't agree more we are so strong in ice dancing and the saddest part is with virtue and moir coming back it took away a metal that the United States would have won in ice dancing because without virtue and moir there was a strong possibility that two US teams would beyond the podium chock and Bates and Hubbell and Donohue have stronger criteria to be in the team event and have put in the work it's sad us figure skating didn't reward those teams

Because I live in the world where I feel entitled to my freedom of expression (isn't that what you Americans promote?!)

There's no need to bicker. Support your favorites and let others do the same. We all love this sport and should celebrate this event that happens once every 4 years. Several of these skaters will retire soon and this is their last chance to skate well on Olympic Ice. It's the Moment, not the Medal that they have dreamed about. If they skate their best, it will create a lasting memory for us all. Remember Mirai's 2010 LP? No Medal, great moment.
