Lol I'm crying rn I've watched these skaters for 8 years - since V/M got me into skating as a teen in Vancouver. They have grown up together. I'm so glad they get to all win Olympic Gold together.

Nice skate from V/M. But I'm just gonna say it. For all the talk of loss of creativity in singles skating, man, talk about ice dance. Every movement is so *predictable*. It's so unambiguous, so over-determined. No place for anything that isn’t expected. I guess that’s the price we pay for this supposedly more “objective” scoring system.

My babies. They did it. They really did it and with such commanding performances today. They didn't back down, they sent out their best and they each did their best and it was incredible. That celebration at the end, those smiles, those hugs <3

Virtue and Moir were magnificent. I'd be disappointed by the score, except, with this tough tech panel, that's home run. Plus, they can see where they lost key points and fix it for the individual.

I was not sold when I heard they were doing Moulin Rouge, but this program, with the change they made after the grand prix is a masterpiece.

And whoohoo Canada on gold!!!
