Somehow the lifts today look quite laboured for everyone
I’ve noticed that, too. It seems like with training these juniors, they are pushing the individual elements first, then the pair elements. The lifts and pair spins seem to be the weakest elements for the couples I have seen so far.

For me ten times better than monstrosity Loboda/Drozd had yesterday, but ain't 'Chicago' expert
Both Daria and Denis and Alexandra and Dmitri were amazing!
It's not and never was meant to be a cutesypoo musical about "isn't it two tons of fun fun fun to be a 20s flapper!" Which is what they turned that program into. And the gunfire ending with her smiling is just oh UGH.
Also i think lifts require a bit more strength from the men, and those guys are kinda young and not entirely grown up men (and boys usually first grow, and then build muscles), so maybe it is not even about training, they just need a bit more time to build the strength necessary for it.

I get your point, but at least Daria and Denis seemed to be on the same page with their 'Chicago' whereas Alla and Pavel are all over the place chasing themselves on ice to botched vocals...

Alla and Pavel is just a travesty. This one is just totally misguided. And if I was a judge I'd slam the hammer down in terms of Interpretation. Somebody should.

I liked all pairs i have seen today, each one has their own style, it will be so interesting to watch next years how they will grow.
I love Mishina's power and positive attitude, i love Pavliucenko's smile and she has already an "it"-factor over her, you cannot take the eyes from her, Boikova and Kozlovskii are so elegant.

Kristina was fighting for that combo!
Interesting comment about pushing the individual elements first and then the lifts and spins. I worry so for these teams who are trying difficult lifts without having the skills and experience to safely execute. Safe travels everyone! At least the less ecperienced teams are finished and hopefully the last group will perform strongly.
