Someone pls explain how are there so many empty seats (in good sectors even!) despite the fact that when I wanted to buy tickets like 1-2 months ago, almost all of the seats were already sold out/unavailable (especially the central/lower ones)?

There's no way so many people bought tickets and didn't bother to come at the rink.

Maybe because they went for a stretch during the break?

Konstantinova performed exactly in the way I expected. And I'm not sad at all. It was 100% pure Konstantinova so it's absolutely OK. May be next time RusFed will be smarter.

Some people come just for the final groups. I do not know how in Milan, but in some Arenas there are restaurants from where you can see the rink and people sometimes leave their seats and go to restaurants.

Ticket resale companies maybe? Buy up as many seats as they can right when they go on sale and then sell them at inflated prices on the secondary market, where inevitably some go unsold especially if they’re grossly overpriced.

It doesn't matter who you are. If you have a pattern of bad performances, with all the other girls lined up behind you, eventually they aren't going to give you any more chances. Just ask Liza, Elena, Alena, Anna, Yulia, Adelina, etc. - all of whom accomplished far, far more than this girl ever has...

Half of them is too young for next worlds or does not compete. Stanislava was pretty good at juniors. What the competition will be among those who potentially could represent internationally we will se next season. Yes, in Russia there is a BIG competition among women, but we will see. Nothing that could be solved in this moment.

that's because the knierems didn't compete in junior nationals as olympic alternates

What you are saying is completely false. Konstantinova popped her solo jump in the SP - 0 points. Tsurskaya solod her Lutz in the FS - 0.66 points. So they both essentially made just as costly a mistake. The main issue is that Tsurskaya should be scoring 5+ more PCS than Konstantinova, just like she does internationally. Konstantinova shouldn't score more PCS than Tsurskaya like she did. Furthermore, Konstantinova had several two-foot landings and URs that went uncalled and two-foot landings and scratchy landings got high GOE also.

Tsurskaya doesn't score way much higher than Konstantinova internationally, because Konstantinova hasn't been sent basically anywhere until now.
The thing is, Stasya didn't win at Nats due to her PCS advantage, it was 70.47 v. 68.74. She won with her technical score, 74.30 v. 63.54. Actually in the SP Polina got higher PCS, not significantly higher but still. I really have no idea why should she score so much higher than Stasya.

You're really not sad at all, at least for her? You can disagree with the decision to send her but I feel like anyone with some empathy would feel bad for her.
