A very laboured skate from Mirai... you could see her getting ready for each element, take a breath. That was one element at a time rather than a program. Bradie was better components wise and overall. However kudos for a clean skate. No 3 axel though...

Exactly what I thought... I got the feeling that she just was skating from element to element, there was barely any performing at all.

Just speculating that Mirai wanted to land it at the Olympics. She only had about 2 weeks training following the Oscars.

The Tom Z problem. What you gain in the technical, you lose in the GOE and components.

Well, I'm happy for no falls, and no more waltz jump, but the whole beginning falls flat in my opinion without the 3A.
