2018 Worlds Ladies FS

Comparing Wakaba to Brian's students now, Wakaba clearly has more performance and excitement in her program than they do. Just my opinion though. But I do think Wakaba is doing well here, there is no need to change anything.

And this will now destroy Wakaba in PCS even though it should be below hers.

But nope. Sigh.

Unpopular opinion - I don't find Kaetlyn overscored, not even in some of her worse skates. She also has some kind of special quality.

Agree though that Wakaba should have been higher.

I think Osmond's really improved her performance for this program during the course of the season. Now it's actually not even that bad.

The pet peeve I have with it, however, is that section after the 3Lo where she stands still and flaps around. Come on...

Yeah, that section is kind of a built-in rest break I suppose.

so glad Kaetlyn skated (mostly) clean! Wouldn't have been surprised with a couple mistakes given her injury and inconsistency but this was great

Well done Kaetlyn. great performance apart from one slight step out. Lovely performance and interpretation. Great levels. Really , really love both her programmes this year. I could watch her SP all night.

Choreography makes sense when you step back and watch it. It's big, and there's a purpose and great use of ice. Other skaters look great close up (Zag, etc.) But when you watch them live, it's all very small, tiny, repetitive nanosecond moves, very busy. Kaitlynn's choreo is 'big picture'.

That said, not my favourite program either - but it's very well constructed.

Nam is doing alot worse after he left Camp Orser. The skaters who left Orser never did significantly well after (e.g. Rippon, Nam).

I think Camp Orser has high probability of helping Higuchi out.

I think it's the same. He failed to qualify when he was there. Failed to qualify now too, for the FS. Don't get me wrong. I'm a big Orser camp team. But I just don't see what Orser could do with her really.

How do you know it's teenage girls screaming?

Obviously not sure, but it sure sounds so to me. Like... the cheering voices for Alina actually sound very young compared to the ones other skaters get. Or maybe I'm biased for actually witnessing that in Russia... or maybe I'm just crazy

Kaetlyn doesn't show the black swan face as she did in PyeongChang, Wakaba should still lead. Plus Kaetlyn's step sequence is really clumsy...

and 150.50...whatever:disapp:
