When you are fan of Kostner you must always expect the expect (mistakes) ,yet it still break my heart but today she really deserve to be off-podium.

Agreed. Would've loved for her to win or at least medal after her 2A+1Lo+3S mistake, but she was off today. Us Carolina fans have hit the lowest of the low with her in 2009 and 2010 seasons so this isn't that bad.

She still leaves with a tiny gold medal!

So happy for Kaetlyn, Wakaba and Satoko, but especially for Wakaba! What great redemption after being left off the Olympic team.
So gutted for Alina and Caro though. I think Caro is mature and wise and will take this in stride. Hope Alina doesn't beat herself up too much though. This just goes to show how hard the backloaded programs truly are, and they should get the bonus points when they hit the jumps. Also, while I don't doubt Zhenya is mentally stronger than Alina, I will point that Zhenya never had to show consistency with backloaded programs, so it's not really a fair comparison to make.

So, what happens now? Kaitlyn is a 2 time world medalist, Olympic medalist, WORLD champion - the first in forever...

Does she come back next year, knowing it will be very difficult to repeat? Or... take advantage of the glory and go out in style?

I would very much miss her quality skating, especially when I know that Eteri-style will be taking over from the real 'skate'-ers...

She is only 22 and Gabby is the only one close to her in Canada. It would be a pity for her to quit, imo. Depends on her wishes and desires though.

Tech caller really gave Satoko that medal, leaving her URs alone, otherwise Caro would have hung on to the bronze. They are all lucky Bradie doesn’t get given PCS points just for being herself or she would have been a surprise 3rd. 3-5 were pretty disappointing today.

But Katelyn gets her individual gold and Wakaba a surprise silver! Hard not to be happy with that! And I’m glad Satoko got a medal after the olympic disappointment though I’m not sure it was deserved this time.
