Shawn's great. Niall Horan was asked what his first impression of Shawn was, and he said "the essence of innocence, extremely Canadian, just a very, very sweet guy". The US can keep Bieber.

Someone needs to skate to Shawn Mendes. Some of his songs would be fantastic.

Well, it wasn't very good. I've never seen a program where the music seemed so ill suited to the skater.

I agree! I had a visceral negative reaction to that program, but I can tell from the board that wasn't universal.

It's a shame we won't get to see anything better from him in the free (barring injury or disaster from skaters yet to come).

But, honestly, having watched them all, if I had to pick one I disliked the most from what we've seen, that would be it.

Sigh, true enough. I guess I can’t have everything I wish for. Larkyn made it to the free and I’m super happy for her. That’s not because there were only 22 skaters and nobody had to qualify to get there; rather, it’s because she’s not at the bottom of the pack.

Now Alaine, on the other hand... tsk tsk. Poor girl.
