2019 US Nationals Senior Rhythm Dance

After watching Euros RhythmDance top flights, the bottom of the US group does not compare well.

Does anyone know whether the resurfacing is after the first or second group? I'm trying to get some work done so can't tune in until the second group but not sure when I should tune in.

Unsurprisingly, the 10th ranked team of the US doesn't match the top 5 teams in the world.

I’ve been wondering this myself. This is the second team making a competitive debut Tanith tells us. I think she said the first one had only been together for 5 months.

There were; I think some of the lower ranked teams split up.

Excatly. That's weird. There weren't any competitors at their Sectionals?

If there were only 4 other teams, they all would have gotten an automatic place. I think in those situations they leave it up to the skaters whether or not to even compete (which is a big travel expense)

Thee were 13 teams last year. Missing are Elliana Pogrebinsky / Alex Benoit and Alexandra Aldridge / Daniel Eaton.

I didn't expect them to, but I did not expect them to look like they belonged at adult nationals with their Russian pros. I say that as a former adult competitor.

Competitive debut if there were not competitors in their Sectional competitions. Many of the Seniors had byes and did not have to compete in Sectionals. There were no Sectional Senior Dance Competitions at all

No disrespect to the teams themselves, but the first group or two at senior nationals can be... well, I'll say less skilled. As much as I would love for NBC to show all the groups on TV, I do understand why they don't. The top 7 teams here are all pretty solid, under that, I think much less so.

Among these new teams, the guys seem a bit stronger. This may be due to the guys being a bit older. The girls seem a bit timid. Both partners need more knee bend and push.
