"September" is by Earth, Wind and Fire. There is a bit of Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop till you get enough" at the end, though. I like how the hand claps at the beginning ("Car Wash" by Rose Royce) segues seamlessly into "Bad Girls".

Aw, they were adorable, and that was a great way to wrap up the season even if it didn't come with an SB score! Just lost some levels here and there, which kept the TES down a little, but they were clearly having a blast and sold it to the rafters. So happy for them.

I really liked when she said that she was sad that it was the last time they'd be skating that program. It seems like they really loved doing it all season.

Isn’t there a skating superstition, though, that you should never wear green? (there must be an exception if you’re doing Riverdance, I guess..)

Steps into
SL Lift - with a VERY cool entrance to one foot by him. Worth watching. Best lift they've every done. Level 4, 1.04 goe
Twizzles - coverage, speed, sync, spacing MUCH improved. Level 4 for both, 1.87 goe
Diag Step Seq - after those really eye-catching opening elements, the choreo is a bit of a letdown. But better performed. Level 3, 1.94 goe
Dance Spin - ok. Nice rotational toss lift exit out. Level 4, .90 goe
Rotational Lift - Level 4, 1.04 goe and then steps and into
NT ST Seq - again, the steps themselves are not all that all that, but done on the beat. With twizzle exit. Level 2 for both, 1.45 goe
Choreo Spin - 1.52 goe
Dance Spin - Level 4, .90 goe
Chor Char St Seq - Hmm, she pushes him away while our vocal is proclaiming "You were meant for me." Did we date the same guy? Hmmm... Ah Modern Roamnce! So full of Conflicitng Signals! 2.49 goe
Curve Lift - Level4, 1.04 goe. A bit ungainly.
Chor Dance Lift - Much better than the choreo slide and meh lift they had before. 2.49 goe



This was COMPLETELY reworked and deservedly scored a SB for them at 4CC. It was nice but forgettable before and now it has real zing. So good for them.

These two have come SUCH a long long long way.


Score: 105.42 and a SB

September is Earth Wind & Fire, baby. I grew up dancing to that song at many local parties. Along with DEVO and Blondie and "Boogie Oogie Oogie" and Adam and the Ants. We were an eclectic bunch. LOL!
