Program Layout:

Boy Meets Girl steps to establish A Relationship. And into the
Dance Spin - with cartwheel entrance. Level 4, 1.74 goe
Circ Step Seq - Level 4, 3.04 goe. Old fashioned but nicely done. Someone's been watching Old Hollywood Musicals.
Very nice rotational flip of her over his back entrance into
Twizzles - done in a circular pattern with tons of interconnecting steps (honestly, I thought this was a NT step seq the first time I saw it). First rate thogh not as sharp as at the GPF. Level 4 for both, 2.69 goe
Curve Lift - with her on his back, he to one foot. Level 3, .35 goe. It was not smooth. I'm surprised they got the level 3 frankly.
Big Tempo Change into what in a Classic Hollywood Musical would be the Instrumental Dance Interlude but here is the
NT Step Seq - The choreo is pretty standard but they do bring a nice bubbliness to it. Level 3 for both, 2.00 goe
And right into the
Chor Char Step Seq - Now this I'd ding them for because it barely has an axis. 2.49 goe And it's barely there before there a flip entrance into
Stationary Lift - Yes, it's the same one they use in their tango. Waste not, want not. Level 4, 1.27 goe
Then steps into a cartwheel flip entrance into
SL Lift - level 4, 1.04 goe
More steps into a
Choreo Lift - 2.61 goe
And a
Choreo Spin - which is nicely done. 2.61 goe
And into the final Young Lovers Looking Longingly At Each Other pose.
Roll credits.

If you forget for a moment that this is LLL, you'll see that it really does have an old-timey Hollywood feel to it. I did research at one point for a film historian specializing in classic Hollywood musicals, so I've seen tons of them. It's not Fred and Ginger, but a dance for the ingenues. It is one of the more complete and fine LLL programs of the season. And it doesn't include City of Stars.

Score: 117.52

Judging definitely slightly harsher than yesterday, almost everyone is surprised by the results.

It wasn't their best, but G/F have really come into their own this season. I have really enjoyed watching them...even though I still hate LLL

Real disappointment in the KnC for G/F. I would love to see the keep rising and contending for world medals - I'm all about their athleticism.

I do not like the combination of music cuts for C/B :confused2:

edit: the audience was loving it though so what do I know

On paper, this program seems very cheesy but it's WONDERFUL on ice. The music cut, choreography, and performance quality is so fantastic. I just love it!!

I just.. I don't know...why don't chock and bates do anything for me? I want to like them I really do but..

Well, that was a blast from C/B. They are clearly having a blast. And... I don't think they realize they lost a lift in there. :eeking:
