Did Japan Fed send Yuna here, so she gets some ranking points or they didn't believe in their own junior girls?

Her SB is outside the top 24. Skating here improves her World Standing from on the bubble or just below it and moves her up to 18th place on the WS list. Everything will shift during the point turnover, but I would guess this event secured her a guaranteed GP spot, improves her chances of getting two, and improved Japan's results all at once. Win, win, win.
