Lol, yep. The replies you and I got are almost self-demonstrating examples of what you said.People take things too personally here.

People take things too personally here. My comment is the biggest example. I have done GIANT posts here, what I meant was about the posts with conspiracy theories and demonizong/hating on people without evidence of anything. We all know what types of posts I’m talking about. I think it’s creepy to defend or to say bad things about people you don’t even know im person. It feels gossipy and almost those political speeches where no evidence of anything is required. It bothers me. I’m a scientist, I don’t like seeing fake news being spread and people buying it. But I guess the type of post here also depends on the nationality of the poster. I’m from a country where things don’t get so passionate, but I guess some of the posters here, maybe because of their culture, are more dramatic. And that’s not a big deal if they don’t spread hate and fake news here, but it bothers me when they make giant posts based on non-evidence things, based on gossip and on their hate bias.

I believe the "Occam's razor" theory is a very good compass in life not only in science. But it’s been a good experiment posting here. I’ve noticed most of the answers I get are on posts related to drama. Whenever my posts are about scores and objective criteria, people ignore them. Good analysis can be made about this.

The Russian Federation hopes it will be possible to hold the test skates of the Russian national team in Moscow on September 12-13 in the presence of spectators, if there are no emergencies, Alexander Kogan said.
They are veeeery optimistic if they think they can have spectators...

Perfect timing! This will be my nicest birthday present. The Russian Federation hopes it will be possible to hold the test skates of the Russian national team in Moscow on September 12-13 (...)

Perfectly stated. Especially about you do you. That was, obviously, a joke lol.
Then - do I think this thread has a ”reputation“? (a bad one, presumably) Idk, certainly not among someone important in the sport, so...![]()
Not going to bother with the rest. You could have just skipped the “giant” essays you didn‘t like. Instead you chose to go tell everyone that you find it “hella weird“ how others spend their time.
I‘m gonna leave it here by saying that I‘d rather read people‘s thoughts on the skaters (even if there‘s not much factual information in it) than them announcing what they don‘t like about the forum and its users. But you do you.

As a final thought, I would also ask the people to not act as if Daniil was the worst choreographer int he world (and if you blame me that you didn't say precisely that than I say that nobody also said "Eteri is the only good coach in the world").
Howgh.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally find Fluture’s posts well thought out, interesting, and informative.Oh, btw, the "essay" part was also aimed at you. There's nothing useful at all in your posts, but you do you and keep typing them. You're only wafting your time.

The point of joining these boards is to share opinions, I don’t see a reason to criticize people for doing so, as long as they are respectful about it.![]()
Eh we can talk about it. I don't think he's a bad choreographer but when you have the best talents, you want to see the best programs as well.
I think last season programs were an improvement, but we've seen some real bad programs and you can't even point finger at him specifically cause it's a team effort, Eteri is always involved and sometimes Rozanov was too.
Alina Zagitova -> lovely skater, great Olympic Champion, but her Phantom SP in 2018-19 for me was one of the worst Phantom programs i recall and almost entirely due to the choreography/composition: too many cuts for a SP and the sounds added for such a classic when you really shouldn't rework all that much, also the stops mid-program in a short program, one second she is angry and punches, the second after happy "think of me" section, 5 seconds ending standing still... it was a lot. At some point i feel like you also need to respect the source material especially when you go classical.
Let me have an objection. You say:
"I think it’s creepy to defend or to say bad things about people you don’t even know im person."
But you do exactly that. Just an example. In this comment you:
- say definitely not positive things (how much "bad" it is a matter of personal opinion) - conclusion about skaters who you "don’t even know in person".
- defend a person you also "don’t even know in person".
Of course you have the right for the opinion, but everybody has it, and your opinions you publish here are mostly based on the same information the others have, only the conclusions everybody has it's own. We could only discuss whose conclusions are closer to reality, not that your posts are somewhere else in the sense of quality. The conclusions you made in the comment linked above are obviously based primarily on your personal preference, which is shown e.g. by the fact you primarily speak of Nastya Tarakanova as "a very emotional girl" and other thigs, you made a conclusion "Pluschenko never had a top skater, in top shape coming to him". In other comment you said "please stop acting like Eteri is the only good coach in the world". I can say with all dignity that 90 % of skaters didn't come to Eteri as "top skaters, in top shape". Examples were given countless times. So, you do conclusions with a strong lean towards your subjective preferences, that make you emphasize some things and sideline the others.
So, that's my conclusion about your request for more objectivity here. Not that others, incl. me perhaps, were role models in objectivity, but in all honesty I don't feel users here would be worse than you in this request.
As a final thought, I would also ask the people to not act as if Daniil was the worst choreographer int he world (and if you blame me that you didn't say precisely that than I say that nobody also said "Eteri is the only good coach in the world").

As has since been revealed, duffvanstorm was indeed talking about the misinformation spread by people on this thread. So I got the point of that better than those two.

The actual irony of saying you shouldn't take issue with what someone's saying and can ignore them, but then making several responses when someone else differs on you on the topic is abjectly hilarious. But then again, when someone has a need to type empty novels compulsively one can understand the need to be defensive with the original comment.I understand Fluture, we don't read the giant posts if we don't like. But if those posts are full of false news, hate, malice opinions especially based on presumptions ( I don't talk about you ) that can't be accepted here.
