Honestly why do they waste their keyboard responding to the plushyboys when it is known that their only argument to defend Plushenko as a coach is that he was a great skater and that he brought the skaters to his camp based on promises of sponsorships and publicity.

Plushenko was always dedicated to training children of millionaire parents, so Tarakanova did not have a real track where to train. They believe that Plushenko's form of business is going to change, if he looked for it he would form a name from below like any real coach, he would not go hunting for the specialists and skaters of the most successful camps of today ...
Fake.

GP assignments are out! Wouldn't you rather discuss that than begin another meaningless and never ending fight about individuals who aren't Russian ladies? It will be so exciting to see all the ladies compete against each other!
Yesss! That will be more exciting than any other competitions! Every girl are going to be there!

Soooo... GP assignments are out. Not a surprise, 3 international girls who train in Russia and the national team, minus Ksenia Sinitsyna.
As a Ksenia fan I’m really sad to see her missing out on all these opportunities. I hope she’s ok and we’ll get to see her skate again soon.
There is still two spots left so they might add Sinitsyna later? Or at least I hope so. I am worried that Ksenia might be injured...
The last spot I hope goes to one of the Rukavicin girls.

I am a little bit surprised to see Kostornaia on the list. I expected her to withdraw as she has the last two Group Stages of the Russia Cup to think about. It will be a really busy period for Alëna with 3 competitions in a month. And then Russian Nationals on top of that.

I am also surprised to see that Kurakova is not listed at Rostelecom. It seems that she has managed to get into the fortress that is Canada as she is listed at SC.

Don't Russian skaters get byes to nationals if they compete in the Grand Prix? I can't remember.
This has been the case in the past "normal" years. However, this year Rusfed called the selection path through the Russian Cup mandatory. Each athlete needs to perform in two stages and get points. Although in these "strange" times, everything can change in one moment.

Good God, this Thraed is getting more and more absurd. It seems that the whole thing attacks the nerves of some people. How else can it be explained that contributions are being commented on that do not even exist? I just checked it out. The last post by a plushenko fan was yesterday morning. Since then, believe it or not, 45 articles have been written in which (for once) it was not about Plushenko and now you come and talk about alleged arguments in favor of Plushenko or the futile reactions to it. Sorry, but this looks like a serious problem.

You're exaggerating. Kromykh's free wasn't "atrocious". It wasn't her best but she didn't bomb either. Other skaters had better presentation but in the end it's about getting the most tech points and pcs in both segments and Maya did that.
It's not like anyone else was robbed of a medal or something.

Who skated clean here with better content than Maya?
I guess they mean Maria Talalaykina skated "clean". And I loved her, she was great! Unfortunately, she had five URs and a much weaker tech layout, so no, she wasn't robbed of a medal.

I'm pretty sure. that they will count the Grand Prix as one of the Russian Cup competitions.

I am disappointed that Ksenia isn't listed. She is (along with Aliona) my favourite Russian senior lady skater.. I suppose she is still coping with injury. :(
Most likely she still hasn't recovered. I do think she can be added later, since there are 2 vacant places.
However it's a fake GP regardless, so it won't matter in a grand scheme of things.

Do we know yet how the GP finalists are going to be selected under this system? Just the winner , i.e. one per each GP event? Six highest-scoring throughout the series? Or more entries than six this time? Have they announced it yet? That is, if there is a GPF at all...

I agree! Ultimately, this thread is about Plushenko's lies, about the fact that everyone who leaves Eteri a) wears a crown and b) bites the dust and finally about 11-year-old skaters who switch from AoP to TT and get a 3A there without Rozanov.
Sorry, but the only reason I had to mention Rozanov, is because it's been rehashed everywhere multiple times, that he's THE coach that got all quads and 3A in TT, the big loss for that team and so on. I don't disagree he's a talented coach, I'm sure he has a lot to offer to skaters and skating world, but the fact that people seemed to completely minimize Dudakov's work and input, making it look like a young coach with a 3-4 years of real coaching experience was teaching Dudakov how to teach jumps (and not the other way around), has rubbed me the wrong way the whole time. People have provided multiple examples, that first quads were taught prior to Rozanov even stepping foot there, but it did look like some were largely persuaded otherwise. So I felt like Dudakov FINALLY deserves some credit for at least Lyuba's 3A and can come out of the shadow of the "beauty king of Russia".

Dudakov is beautiful (or cute) too, in his own way! But yes agree, he definitely knows how to teach jumps. Different style from, say, Mishin (but then, Orser's jumping technique is also different from Arutunian's, and both ways work).

Never mind! If there's one coach I sympathize with, it's Dudakov. Still, I was not influenced by the wild speculations that disguss what jumps to what percentage were teached by whom. This whole discussion was far too irrelevant to be angry.

BTW: Can I tell you a secret? I don't think Rozanov is beautiful. He has always seemed grim to me. Maybe I could see him with different eyes if he appeared more open and friendly. As they say? Beauty comes from within. In the end, however, it doesn't matter whether a coach is "beautiful" or not. At least it SHOULD not matter.
