Enjoyable too a large extent, not necessarily high profile, though. Anna and Gleb were lovelyHow the competition looked like?
Thanks. I will rewatch them.Enjoyable too a large extent, not necessarily high profile, though. Anna and Gleb were lovely![]()
Yes, their TES was huge, they probably hit all the key pointsOoo they're in the lead! Thought it might be the case, their pattern dance looked pretty good based on my non-expert eyes.
Good luck in the free kiddos, smash those piano keys!
ETA: (Irina and Dario leading, just to clarify)
Thank you, didn't get to see Elizabeta earlier. She might not be the most competitive of her age group, but she sure makes me smile. I can see her being cast in a movie that might need a figure skater-she just oozes charm and personality. This was the competition for the day, and it has been an enjoyable day. Russian junior skating in all disciplines is so impressive and enjoyable.
Seems all the Youtube streams are plagued with dropout, perhaps 1tv will upload fresh copies over night?
YT is in 1080p resolution while 1tv.ru proper is only 720p
Seems the 1tv.ru page recordings aren't geo blocked, you try this link to the girls SP from today: https://www.1tv.ru/-/vmkcd
Well, as for Kukushka, Anastasiya Mukhortova skated to this some years ago before switching to pairs :We need more KINO! I liked Zhenya's Kukushka EX. Someone do Gruppa Krovi please
If the audience can listen to the same 2 french ballads every season although they do not understand a word and can listen to US 80s rock music on ice, they can listen to Russian pop music. I wish people would be brave enough to skate to music from different countries and not just skate to the same English, french, spanish, italian songs. I am still waiting for the day when people are brave enough to skate to German musicals, we have some really great ones with beautiful ballads that are Olympics worthy.
Kino is '80s rock, it's not modern. One problem with Russian rock is that words are comparatively important. If you don't know what Kukushka (Cuckoo) or Gruppa Krovi (Blood Group) is about, you might be left scratching your head since they are not generic love ballads. We need more KINO! I liked Zhenya's Kukushka EX. Someone do Gruppa Krovi please
This was my question yesterday and after spending the whole evening on russian federation website reading rules and documents, all I could find was "territories can send their best skaters to the Russian Cup events". The best skaters are probably determined according to the results of the previous year (for example, the results of Russian zonal age group championships) and the results of the territories local championships..What determines who receives the invitations? The Russian Cup seems more like sectional event vs regionals event. So are there regional competitions, and the best competitors from these regional competitions are then invited to the Cup of Russia?
