Four new fluff pieces were released in one day, so now each Olympic-bound figure skater/team has one.

zach is hilarious ! he looks so bored at times but his words are very well chosen and strong 
also his french is interesting... sort of a mixture of euro accent + english words... and a bit of quebec flavour. i wonder if one of his parents is from France...

Zach is Algerian-Canadian, so I imagine that would be the source.zach is hilarious ! he looks so bored at times but his words are very well chosen and strong

I see... I didn't know Lagha was Algerian... I imagined it came from the Indian region. That makes total sense as the French in Algeria is "much closer to European French".

According to Roman's instagram, the Canadian skaters are flying in first class! Pretty cool.

Keegan would have to go separately right? Because he lives in Alaska. I think it'd be smart to split men's.
I think so, there would be no reason for him to cross into Canada and then on to Bejing. Although I wonder if he has to travel with his Canadian passport for Olympic purposes

On a strategic level, I wouldn't, since Roman is such an inconsistent skater (Keegan has had his ups and downs this year as well, mind you, but he's a lot more consistent than Roman).
This may indeed indicate he's been named (Lord knows the team event is a big dice roll for us this year anyway), though it could also be that since the men are right after the team event he's going over in the first wave.

let's not forget the strategy from the Canadian Olympic Committee : they expect some athletes to test "positive" upon arrival. They want to give everyone enough time to get their negative tests in China that will allow them to the bubble.
also, Roman may very well have been named to the team, but that means nothing... until the SP are done with. If Canada is close to a bronze medal, they may decide to not switch skaters around and go for their best shot. Being named to the team event doesn't guarantee much.
Regarding the other dance teams, I am pretty sure they wouldn't be on the same flight : this looked like Toronto athletes... I didn't see anyone from Quebec on that team, they may be leaving/have left from YUL.
I’m excited to root for Team Canada. For the Team Event, there is a 10% chance the defending champions can garner a bronze medal. A lot would have to go their way.
In the individual events, they are all capable of making it to the second last group (top 12), if they all skate their best in the first portion of their respective events.

i am too lazy to do the detailed mapping of the team event myself... plus it will happen soon enough... but considering Canada will lose ground on Japan in both women and men, in both the SP and LP, they need to place ahead of the Japanese Dance team (which should be ok) and the pairs, which so far this year, doesn't look good... So really, it will depend on how much ground Japan gains in singles and how much Canada can gain back in dance and pairs (if they gain any in pairs).
For instance, something like (almost worst case scenario)

Russia
Georgia
Italy
Canada
would be very costly considering Madeline may end up even lower but of course, Keegan could finish in 3rd place there too..

.... here Canada needs as much spacing as possible with Japan to make up a bit for singles....
Pairs may be close and could go either way but the edge right now is also with Japan. So it's tough

I think a big part of the spacing will also depend on who is competing.
We all expect S/H in pairs as it is home Olympics but now that a team medal chance is mostly gone it may be P/J who are somewhat inconsistent.
I really can’t make a strong prediction until I know who’s competing.
Again, Shoma can be a wildcard also. Keegan could beat him in the short on any given day.

You're right. For some reason, I thought that Roman had As some better FS results this season than Keegan, but they're about equal. (When Roman does well, anyway)
