Yuzu said in an interview that it was unusually hot in the rink, so I think he was just tired/hot. You never know with him, tho. All of the injuries do compound over the years.

Also he said he'd never skated the SP clean in practice so he was probably nervous.

I adore Yuma's skating
I've been following his progress and supporting him since before he made his international debut at Asian Open in 2018

Judges can throw him all the SS PCS they want. Deserved!

BUT there is no way in skating hell that Yuma should be getting higher IN than Kazuki!
Not last season, not now!

Come at me. y'all! I'll die on this hill!

Yuma... I have no idea what happened on the 4T, at least he didn't look mad at himself. HE ACTUALLY SMILED DURING HIS SKATE! IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE! His PCS was too high, I would've scored him at a 93.8, but at least he's saving a clean SP performance for the Olympics.

Shoma: Nicely done, considering his injury.
Kazuki: Oh, that 4S! I wish he had succeeded it. Love his skating so I hope he will have a nice FP.

Yuma: He definitely has a spot in Beijing. He should not have failed that 4T.

Sena: I almost fast-forwarded his program. I think he has many missing something, but his SP today was really something.

I was reading a fan translation so take that with a grain of salt. He might have just meant he wasn’t totally clean in the practice. I think he popped the 4T in his combo there.

Still, of course I’ll worry about his stamina in the free given his history.

The singer Dimash is a special guy. He just can't prounouce stuff not Kazakh or Russian. His father, who might of studied linguistics, is much better if you've seen his attempt at mandarin. Heck his younger sister's english sounds better.
