Has Sasha said why she hasn't been wearing her newspaper dress for her free the last few competitions? It's such a cool dress to just not wear and the black one she does wear is very plain. Plus she brings it along to wear on the podium, so obviously she likes the dress. Just find it strange.

I have read that Russians are very superstitious.
I think Sasha thinks this dress which was the same one she wore on test skates is her "lucky dress" to land all 5 quads.
Just my hypothesis haha.

Anna has really been unlucky with the small medals in the free skate.
Beaten by Sasha with 0.21 last year at Worlds
Beaten by Kamila with 0.24 at Europeans

But what a skate by Anna! If only she could get her 4Lz back and be clean, she might put up a fight with Kamila at Olympics (if she misses on her 3A's),

I loved Shcherbakova's new exhibition, it would be interesting to see them make that her SP next season. The dress reminded me so much of Kostornaia's original Angel dress, like Shcherbakova's might be where they wanted to take the Angel dress:

I would love that, but I don't foresee them putting someone without a triple axel for the SP when they have someone that has a triple axel. Shcherbakova and Trusova put them in a bit of a pickle with Trusova placing second at nationals and Shcherbakova second at Europeans, didn't they?

Why would Russian Fed even consider using anyone else but Kamila in the SP of the team event? She has been by far the best SP performer this season, she guarantees Russia the win there no matter what while Scherbakova or Trusova are both beatable in the SP.

Maybe Kami will do both to let a chance for Anna and Sasha to win gold in single.

Kamila gets both S / K get both split pairs and men. That is the best chance for Olympic gold. That's tough on Anna and Sasha and the number 2 dance team. But that's life and that sports.

But of greater concern to me is all these skaters from Russia and abroad going to the Olympics hanging around Tallinn for another day in the locker room with each other on the ice with thousands of fans watching some of whom no doubt have coronavirus whether they know it or not. I think they're all playing Russian Roulette with testing positive for the Beijing Olympics.

I'm a big Anna fan but thats not a habit I share with her or masks in general.

You also are not in danger of being disqualified from the Olympics if you get a positive Covid test. So there's that, too.

Can they do that? At this point, I say definitely put Kamila in the SP and give the LP to Anna. But if Sasha is hitting 5 quad LP's in Olympic practice, then put her in instead of Anna.
