Can we call Kamila the Greatest of All Time now, already? Sensational. She has EVERYTHING

She really was out of this world today. I think Aliona‘s skate from Nationals 2019, if it was on international stage, could’ve scored similar or maybe around what Kamila got today.
But this was simply stunning from Kamila. Well deserved WR.

I don't think longevity is/will be her forte - and longevity is also an important factor in that 'everthing" imo.

Not anymore. Longevity it's different now.
Because figure skating has the 3 maximum rule per country per discipline there's no way the Russian ladies can have the longevity of tennis players or golfers who get into major events on their rankings. This is an epic failure of the isu. While Serena and Roger play tennis into their 40s and Phil won a golf grand slam at 50 Zhenya Is done at 21 and Alina at 17? Damn shame..

Also having so many brilliant Russian girls coming every couple years pushes the older Russian girls out of the way.

Well greatest of all time includes longevity in my opinion at least, it means to stay on top for more than just one season, and do not forget that a certain junior is coming up right behind kamila in the ranks, sadly sonja and also veronika were born in the wrong year, because at the next olympics akatieva will be close to 19 i think and veronika close to 18. So to say greatest of all times sorry its way too early ,

I hate the wrong year and being born in the wrong half of the year. Being born in the right half of the year is a career maker being born in the wrong half of the year can be a career breaker.

It's it's just going to be awfully hard to ask this phenomenon it's phenomenon doing very difficult routines with very difficult ultra jumps to do this for multiple seasons as a senior. I hope KV does not get burned out before the Olympics.

The pressure is massive on these Russian girls because they always know someone's coming behind them I'm them like with Julia she had Zhenya and Evgenia had Alina and Alina had 3A then 3A KV Maya and Dasha. All from one coach and 1 team it is mind blowing.

Life expectancy is much shorter in Russia than it is in America which is a shame. I did not even know that KV's grandfather had died he was probably only in his fifties or sixties.

If this girl can start nailing her short program and hitting her triple axles then watch out because obviously she will be tough to beat in a free skate even with 1 or 2 falls.

Well, judging by the anger and tone of the post, I'm guessing "38" would be their score.

you know some people would like to see skater developing , not giving them massive score for junior skating in their first senior year because she is chosen and she has to win olys

What i find sad is that both eteri and daniil didn't even look happy at kamilas score , like she got world record and not even a real smile from any of the two? I know that no one can come close to what eteri had with zhenya in term of closeness but comparing even daniils reaction , ?? And no its not meant to be something against the two its just that it becomes glaring , and even with alina when she had great skates or with anna,aliona and sasha over the past few years they looked happier in many competitions? And i am not saying it meant something like that they like other skaters more its just something that i saw today and compared to other kiss and crys from these two.

Or was that just my impression? In gerneral that sometimes you as a spectator think well that was really great and the scores show it and you look at their faces and think why are they not looking happier?

exactly. her scores are so ridiculously unjustified it makes me not even care to watch competitions or care about titles, just clips online of the good performances from the season.

Judges do what they have to do. It seems some russians (Med, Zag, Anna.Kosto) had wow factor too. It is matter of time and hyping , not actuall skills. Kosto was supposed to be the first, she would have got 87 + if not that corona thing. They are looking for some 3A girl in short, but the rest jumps in kamilas program are plain mediocre and she doesnt do NOTHING spectacular whatsoever.

We talk about the scoring , not who is better. Kamila may be "the best"(funny), but it is not an excuse for giving her 38 in PC.
