So there will be a shootout after all...

She is on the right track. I think that is why I favour a layout of Sofia S. doing two different quads at the start of the program. It prevents REP. So, in the future, they might want to have Adeliya land 4Lo and 4T or just one 4Lo and then continue the program like Anna usually does. It is risky when you is the first element.
I’m glad the two sofia (M and S) get their ticket for the junior world. Akatieva is like Kami out of reach.
Before we had the 3A now we have the 3S from 3 different schools

Just for the Men - if the announcement on the website of the FFKKR is to be trusted:

(You have to scroll all the way down, it's the last paragraph)

So the team for every discipline but men's will be known on 14th of February? If so - good.

Honestly, stressing out their athletes so shortly before the main competition is a pretty illogical move and would show lack of professionalism. There's no precedent for such "shoot-outs" in the junior ranks, not even with differences as small as 0.5 points. Now the results were fairly conclusive and not even close. If you take the overall season's results into account as well, it's even more of a done deal.

I think men's is a very special case because the competition was a disaster all around and the silver medalist, for example, doesn't even have the TES minimums.

Yes, from that it looks so, but what Ermolina says sounds little different:

“According to the results of the Russian junior championship that ended in Saransk, the team will not be formed to participate in the YJWCH 2022 in Sofia. The expanded team will be announced before February 14. When forming the final version, the results of the Russian Cup Final, which will be held in Saransk in February, will be taken into account. Particular attention will be paid to the selection of juniors who did not even demonstrate last year's level at the Russian championship," Yermolina said.

Honestly maybe even FFKKR doesn't know now for sure.

I'd trust the FFKKR website for now, it wouldn't be the first time a quote was incomplete (whether on purpose or by accident) or unable to be proven (particularly on rsport.ria.ru - they have a history of reporting questionable "quotes", like Lambiel allegedly calling all skaters at Euros apart from Deniss clowns (which was denied from multiple sides) or reporting that the council of coaches had voted against including Kolyada in the Team event, after which the coaches' council vehemently protested having any involvement in choosing the skaters included in the Team event.).

I think this quote was released there first, but other websites had already reported on the Men's team being the only team decided by the Russian Cup Final (Here, over 3 hours before), and the announcement made on the FFKKR website was also made at least half an hour before the quote was released, so it's possible they are part of one quote - meaning: The teams will be released by February 14th and the Men's team will be finalised after the Russian Cup Final, with special attention spent on those that scored lower than at last season's Junior Nationals (which, funnily enough, is almost everyone who is eligible to compete at the WJC).

I kinda feel like the Italians when they locked their papal-electing conclave in, on bread and water, and told them to make up their darn minds. This is Junior Worlds in Olympic year, people. Keep your priorities straight, your decisions fast, and please, stop the mill, because your only 18 yo with okay nerves is the guy who spent two previous years not competing.

I’m just nervous about all athletes arriving COVID free to the Olympics. Most countries have no idea the seriousness of China when it comes to testing negative for COVID-19. When I watch the events in Russia, I cringe. So, will be hopeful that everyone takes the appropriate precautions heading to the Olympics. Avoid social interactions for just a week prior to heading out and please get tested daily the week prior, just to be sure.

But nope, I don't recognize this "argument", no one has ever clarified where the supposed favouritism in advance of "my faves" is apart from the usual "Eteri bonus" statement. So I reserve my right to mark obvious favouritism when I see it like the examples I gave above.
I just red this very strong statement of yours and couldn't help myself to dig just a little bit.
It turns out that Anna got basically the same PCS in GP France SP and Europeans SP.
She was clean in France, feel down and missed combination on Euros.

And to clarify I do think that Muravieva was overscored in Junior Nats, she was however underscored in Senior Nats.
Muravieva opened the door for Petrosian but Adelia couldn't really get herself together and walk through it.

I read yesterday that it was only the men‘s Junior Worlds team that will be decided after the RCF. (Though I could be wrong)

I assume that they will be bubbled/isolated in Krasnoyarsk and tested all the time. I doubt it is going to be a party central.

During GP France and basically during the whole autumn I was complaining Anna's PCS (in clean programs) is too low even compared to previous season
