I think Kami will skate both programs for the team event to give Anna and Sasha more time for the single.
The girls just recovered and they don’t want them to risk more injuries before the single knowing Sasha is aiming for 5 quads and Anna just restored her quads
I think they will let Anna do the free, if she wants. She is after all 3 times Russian national champ and current World champ and she scored basically the same free programme score as Kamila at last Euro. I also think they will give free to Stepanova/Bukin in dance or to Tarasova/Morozov in pairs.

TSL should be banned by the ISU for posting slander and made up conspiracy theories.
What do you mean "ban" them? They are just two completely random adult men that film youtube videos from their sofas. They are neither athletes nor journalists nor anything official, as far as I know one of them is literally an Opera singer or sth of the sorts
The ISU, the official international representation of Figure Skating, has no business neither knowing nor caring who they are imo.

Of course the ISU shouldn't care about them. I was trying to be sarcastic, but failed...:ROFLMAO:

that was the easy part, the second event team selection will be much more juicy
It all depends on how the points go on the third day. If they have a comfortable lead I can see Davis/Smolkin in the free dance (and yes, it would be a nice early birthday present for Eteri). Anna and Mishina/Galliamov I think are a lock for the free skate. And as always that medal will depend on how well Kondratiuk can do.

Mamun is very popular when Adelina is not. I don’t know where you read that Alina can’t speak. Come on, she hosted ice age for two years and she took lessons for her diction.
They are the fans of Medvedeva and company who are still frustrated because they can't get over the fact that there is only one legitimate Olympic champion and her name is Alina Zagitova (the same ones who fill their publications, tiktoks and others with hate, "the second fan base")

According to Nikita Kamila will skate the SP.

Which was expected from the start, I just don't understand why they were making so much ado about saying nothing

Also Kami was with he team while Anna and Sasha were watching from the stands. And now they have to be sure they gain 10 points from the ladies SP so they can take the lead.

Not sure if this is entirely correct but it might be due to covid? I think once they officially confirm the entry, it can't be changed. So if, god forbid, Kamila suddenly had a positive test, they'd be without a woman in the SP entirely. Which would be a complete disaster of course. If they wait until the last second to confirm it, though, they could switch in Anna or Sasha if need be.

I agree about Kamila doing the SP. She's the only one who's been rocksolid on it all year. Sasha without the 3A might be beaten by Kaori and Anna's had troubles on the combination more than once this season. It will be interesting what they decide to do for the free, though… I'm pretty sure they won't be switching ice dance and pairs now but it'll be interesting to see what happens for the women…

Might be, of course, I was also thinking that it could be the tactics in the sense "if we won't need a sure victory form a lady in the SP, we might take more risk by appointing Anna or Sasha, who both can win the SP as well but might have some difficulties, and spare Kami from the duty to skate four programs, while we will name Kami for the SP only if we would need celar 10 points from the SP". But maybe it's just a try to find a reasonable explanation whre nothing is reasonable.

As for ID, I've still haven't seen the ID because I'm at work, can't use VPN and the Czech TV server is down, but from what I heard Nikita's troubles with he back were obvious. SoIf that's true it is a question whether they will have to skate also the free although of course their possible second place again would be still better than Diana/Gleb's probable 4th.

I don’t think they will change the team but whoever girl will skate in the free will certainly win since no other competitors can land a quad

Trankov, who coaches Tarasova/Morozov has already said they aren’t anticipating competing in the team event. Stepanova/Bukin to my knowledge aren’t in Beijing yet, waiting on the required negative covid tests.

Something I thought of watching the pairs SP, if they don't substitute Shcherbakova in for the FS, she will be the only reigning world champion to not compete in the team event, which seems wrong to do.

I heard someone said that Kamila had made clear that she is not interested in skating the both team segments. If that is true, it's highly likely that Anna will do it.

I'm doing calculations and trying to predict the future lol... If the positions stay like this in the SP: 1.Kami 2. Kaori 3. Mariah/Karen, Russia and USA will be tied, but doing the math I think USA can take the team event 😭 So sad for Kami and Anna they deserve that medal of gold.

It's not what Kami wants. If there is a strategic replacement, it should be in the women's FS event. Anna will beat Wakaba/Mana/Kaori/Mariah/Karen whoever does the event for Japan and USA. That's 10 points for Russia and a potential 9/8 for the USA. Katsalapov/Sinitsina and Mishina/Galliamov must make the free program to secure 10 points (if Nikita doesn't mess it up again). Under these assumptions, it will all depend on the men's event, expecting Kondratiuk to finish third which would be 8 points for Russia. Is it possible that they only replace the ladies or should there be replacement in two disciplines? At this point Katsalapov/Sinitsina should focus on the team event because I can see a dance podium from: 1. Papadakis/Cizeron, 2. Hubell/Donohue. 3. Chock/Bates.
