2021 Rostelecom Cup: Women's Free Skate

Thought Viktoriia was Maya for a moment at the start of the FP, and was very confused. Very happy that she got through all the jumping passes without issue, and hit her level 4s on the spins. She could be a bit more committed to the performance of the choreography, as it felt for most of the programme as though she were doing the motions, rather than performing them, if that makes sense, and then she became more lively once the last jump was done and she began the step sequence. If she could bring some of that animation into the first half of the programme, this could be a scintillating programme.

I think Ryabova has the worst timing between jumps in combination. But maybe Valieva will try to prove me wrong.

That was a solid skate from Rina; she, like Katya K., was definitely showing the strain of competing in back-to-back GPs by the end of her programme, as the rink monster came for her 3Lz in the end. (It really has been selecting the triple lutz as its favourite snack with the women here.) I do like the twizzle transition out of her 3F in front of the judges; it's a fun and quick transition out of the jump.
