What a glorious return to the GP for Mihara! I admire her strength and bravery. The music did make me reach for a combination of red wine and pills but such is the life of a skating fan.

I have to admit I don't know what happened to Mai, but I understand she had a lot of difficulties, so it's wonderful she can come back like this.

If my body was still able to produce tears, I would certainly be shedding them now. An emotional moment and one that will define redemption in skating for me this season.

Mai doesn't get a lot of height on her jumps, but they're always around. She's what I wish Satoko could be jump-wise, but at least there's someone to fill the artistry gap that will be left when Satoko r*tires
