What a surprising result! Chen best American, Kim in the top flight, Tennell not in the top flight.

Sasha only 12th.
Miyahara 16th

Paganini and Kurakova didn't even qualify.

Ice is indeed slippery.

But overall a fantastic event and it will be really exciting on Friday. Anything can still happen.

Oh wow, now that you mention it, yes it will! I'm hoping that everyone skates well in the free, but these standings would be the most ideal for spots.

I would actually love that if all of Russia, US, Korea, and Japan get 3 spots!!

Rika did UR her 3A, and got called accordingly, and the 35 PCS for her is fine, but the 37 for Anna is a bit much in my opinion. The thing that makes me the most upset is the flip-flopping in calls. Karen had a clearly UR 3T, but didn't get called. Rika deserved to get called as much as Karen did. Hopefully the tech panel review will make the calls better for the free.

Well if things stay the way they are now, both the US and Korea would get 3 spots for the Olympics.

And Canada would keep two, if they can’t qualify their second at Nebelhorn

Tuktamysheva, Shcherbakova and Yelim Kim delivered... None of the other top competitors did. What a weak, weak competition. I guess it makes sense with the special circumstances and all but man was this disappointing.

Plus, Schizas, and the Swedish woman—both of them really dug deep and turned in terrific performances. They came to play.
The Austrian woman, too, and let’s not forget Karen Chen, doing better here than many would have expected.
Some nifty skating in the early groups!

Yes, everything. Especially expression and musicality. Transitions. Transitions are a pretty big one actually, Anna's are quite insane on this program.

How on earth was the 3A on a quarter? It was way more under than a quarter.
