2022-23 Cup of Russia - Stage 3 - Kazan

I really liked the move Sadkova made during her StSq when she ducked under her arm holding her bent leg. That was so pretty.

Of course the junior men here are on at the same time as the senior men at Volvo Open Cup, which means I'll miss the first two groups. Good luck to Dikidzhi and Ugoshaev and all of Vika Butsaeva's wonderful boys! :cheer2: I hope I'll be back in time to cheer for Stolyarenko at least.

Maxim B is really struggling with the landing of his jumps but thankfully no splats :console: I wish he had used the original Bring me to life instead of a cover

Yakhontova, I wonder if she traces her descent to Sheremet’ev’s theatre.

Honestly, Maxim A.'s jumps are huge and he has very nice, soft landings. His PCS, on the other hand, need a lot of work. He's pretty slow, most of his turns are hopped or choppy, his posture tends to become slouchy as the program goes on and he really doesn't have a lot of expressiveness.

However, I also want to say that I am seeing the improvements they've already made, his spins look much better for example.

Nikita did well, but he's still in the stage of development of some junior boys in which they can land the most beautiful 3As and quads, but stumble on their footwork. This is the second time he's had issues in the same place, maybe it would make sense to rework that section. 🤔 Score a bit high in my opinion, but nothing too outrageous.

Vlad is a gorgeous skater, but his tendency to pop the Lutz is becoming chronic, tragically. The 3A landing was very difficult, it just looked like his weight was on the inside edge instead of the outside edge
