Catching up on the women

Safonova - wow! she must have been added last minute. Makes sense as there is no reason to skate for Belarus now. But she's skating out of competition? Viktoriia solid as usual. Great skate.

Nesterova - another clean skate. She might be the cat among the pigeons in this competition and fight for a top position.

Paramonova - last year she bombed both her RC assignments, which in Russia can mean a career ending situation. Glad to see her fighting back here. Shaky combo, she needs to be more clean in the long.

Sinitsyna - I just love her!! Fantastic skate! She has such a presence on the ice. Great stuff. Hope this means she wil be on that podium tomorrow.
Has she changed coach?

Sviridenko - Solid skate. Shaky Flip but overall better than at the first stage. She needs to hold it together tomorrow to Q for Nats.

Kochanova - Don't think I have seen this girl before. Don't think I will remember her after this.

Valieva - Clean skate. I expected nothing less from her. She is untouchable in this competition.

Shvetsova - Hmm...3T+3T. That might win you a medal at the international GP but not in Russia. Don't think we will see this girl at Nats.

Yametova - What is she doing here? What a surprise!! And wow!! Superclean! The energy and speed this girl has is just AMAZING! Such star quality! And that picking-up-a-coin-slide is just fierce! Fabtastic stuff!!! Yay. Great score as well!

Rebrova - Don't think I've seen this girl before either. Nice skate, except for the falls. Hopefully she can come back in the long.

Gushchina - Oh dear. Popped the Lutz. that will be super expensive. I thought she might medal here, but now it will be hard with Yametova in the mix.

Molchanova - Hmm...better than at stage one, I think, but not enough.

I'm still exhausted after Yametova's skate, which was the highlight of course.

He is very, very good, particulary when he lands his first 4S. It’s also a wonderful program for him. His free is ah.. on the artsy side. But produces great photos.

I gave up on French stage. Gonna watch Russians instead and try British stage next weekend to see if comp is better.

Wow! I’m in tears
I was only prepared for Kseniia…. I didn’t expect Veronika here at all. Maybe, the fed felt guilty about stealing her bronze medal at the last event. When I saw her score, I screamed in happiness. That is what she deserves. Really happy for both last years 9th and 10th place finishers, at Nationals. I’m hoping they both end up in the podium here.
