Gosh, these early men are a mess. I don't get it. If you aren't even going to do ultra jumps, why can't you at least get into the PERFORMANCE? Every inch and every second should be perfect, no slouching, no dropped arms, etc. These guys are just going through the motions and not even trying to stand out with a performance. It's difficult to watch.
Life’s hard over there.

At least, he has a new program music.

A want to know what happened to him after first JGP last year.
His 21-22 season was honestly so confusing 3 coaching changes. Spent the start of the season at Buyanova then back to Eteri for few months then to AOP for few months, trained on his own for a while after which he landed at Volkovs:shrug:

Dude kept body parts in his fridge to eat for later. Caught, plead guilty, cooperated with the police. Murdered in prison. Beaten to death with a barbell.

It was a competitive weekend for the ladies although today was a relative letdown. The Empress just did enough the judges got it right once again (they do much better job than the ISU judges giving mushrooms to Americans and targeting any Korean).

What it showed is if Akateva skates her programs clean she is gold or silver for the nationals (effectively the world championships), Muravieva not far off, and Tuktik not far off but ultimately doesn’t have a free skate capable of winning gold with.

But Tuktik a deserved winner and an incredible athlete. She was the best over two days in a GP stage that had a stronger top 3 than we will see at the world championship this season.

The idea that Eteri has somehow fallen I don’t agree she’s had Shcherbakova and Trusova retire. Akateva and Petrosyan are almost there as replacements. Kamila had morphed into a body of a fully grown woman (she’s significantly taller and heavier than the 10 year older Tuktik), so she won’t have her full ultra c return but as this weekend demonstrated for artistry no other skaters comes close.
