I just love the great takeoff technique of both Mura and Liza on toe jumps, literally so aesthetically pleasing. Quick and precise toe pick, with a big resulting jump

Liza had some issues on the landing of the 3Lz+3T, but also another clean skate for her.

Hmm, that was lower than what I was expecting, but looking at the protocols, it seems fair?
And her PCS are still higher than Mura's by like 2 points (even with the stumble), so it's not like she was underscored on that front either.

Yeah, just saw that in the protocols - Not sure I agree with the judges on that, but it's not like I feel like Liza's overall score isn't fair, so I'm not going to complain too much.

It's actually a shame. It's not the first time she does good combos in a warm-up/practices and then not so good in the actual skate. I thought she would do the 2T, she usually has problems when the lutz is too high.

Yay! Sofia deserved to be in first place. Besides the 3A, she does everything else better and backloads her combo.

Liza’s 3A is top notch. But, she needs to focus on her triple triple combo. Also, I saw the stumble and overall, her skating skills looked poor skating after Muravieva. But, I still root for her due to her impressive longevity.

Both skaters did enough to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. But, this time, Sofia can watch and observe how Liza fares and then decide on what jumps to go for, for the free skate.

Anna Frolova ; I’m going to now root for her, just to do enough to make it to Nationals. Looks like Alina G has a firm grasp on qualifiying to both the Cup (top 12) and Nationals (top 18).

A deserved lead for Sofia, I much preferred her programme to Liza’s. I felt Ksenia S was marked harshly on PCS. She has my favourite set of programmes this year.

Anna F has a lot of work to do. That missed jump really her hurt but she’d still only be mid 60’s if she landed it. I didn’t think she took if from the ice so that the 2nd attempt would count but obviously not. I hope she comes back strong.
