Last years' program was adorable. (SP). Watching that video when she was 6-well I don't think I've ever seen a more talented child, ever. And there is some great choreography in the program today, but perhaps too ambitious (like the long one leg lunge into turns on the same foot and then have to lift into the loop-I'm not sure who could do this transition). And I think Plushy seems a bit scattershot in his training methods-train for a day, then do boxing, then a show, then appearances, then some other 'cutting edge' off ice idea. His heart is in the right place, and I think he genuinely cares about his kids, but maybe a more structured approach would work better. (Or maybe not-who knows) And yes, I think she needs some work on inhabiting the music, dealing with feeling too much intensity etc. The issue in Russia, sadly, is if you fail, you lose your place on the team, and it isn't easy to claw your way back up. That is the downside of being government funded. I do hope they find a way to nuture probably the greatest talent that has come along in a generation.

Yea, people on certain sites are so harsh towards her simply because they don't like her coach, disregarding the fact that she is a child with real feelings...Hopefully she doesn't see all the criticism and hate. Also, her short from last season was adorable and I will stand by that opinion! Kinda wish they just re-used.

I think we’ll all love to see her enjoy performing far, far more often!

Hell yes! Louder for those up back!

She reminds me very much of Sasha T in how people react, nothing she does is right (Be artistic! No, don't be artistic! Do Ultra-C! No, don't! Wear an out there costume! Your costume is boring, you're boring everyone!). Sasha however is able to ignore those criticisms. Nika not so much :(

I hope she still enjoys skating though...it's a pretty depressing situation if she doesn't.

Vadim is one of my favs for the past three years. His brother Dobromir is great to watch as well. Good thing is they've got all the time in the world at 12 and 10 respectively. They both have their bedrooms decorated in Yuzu posters.
 
I hope the stream will get better before Junior Men, as it's currently stop/start.

Another beautiful programme and performance by Yaroslav Khrylov. The kid's got something for sure, very watchable.
 
Ilya Malyshev kept his Master and Margarita - great choice. Love this programme.

Congrats to the winners Khrylov, Malyshev, Voronov. All well deserved, but I'm particularly happy about Dobromir's bronze medal. :clap:

I'm really in the mood for Juniors now.
 
Aww I have to leave soon for Trivia Night! So cheer everyone on for me.

BTW does anyone have a link to the result page?

Ooo Maxim A has managed a pretty good score, nice come back there.
