Just looked it up.

The suffix "-dze" means "son", while the suffix "-shvili" means "child".

So, they are both used for basically the same thing. The difference is that the former is used in the west of the country, while the latter is used in the east.

Yeah she looks older for ladies skaters standard. There was a 13yo in the 2nd JGP who was looking 17yo.
