2022 Junior World Championships: Women's Short Program

Well, the stream for the bikes didn't spring into life at the top of the hour, so I carried on with the skating until it did there now.

But I am afraid that that is where I bail out for the day. I'll try to finish the Ladies SP in the morning before the Free Dance starts.

All the best to everybody who is still to skate.

The Flip...she has PTSD over the Flip
I should have specified "Don't pop the Flip"!

It's more I can staaaaaand.

Btw, Japan has a mass of young promising skaters, why they send a-19-year-old there? (And Linnea C. is 5 weeks young enough, not one week, sorry my wrongly remembered date limit earlier)

I think because Rinka has a 3A and made huge improvement this year. So, they wanted to give her an assignment.

I was surprised they didn't send Hana Y who seems to be the most promising skater who will soon be senior.

Aww...Smiley Kensuke Nakaniwa appearing at Junior Worlds in like 22 years?

Because JSF likes to rob my faves......yeah i'm petty.
They gives spots to juniors eligibles skaters who get the best placements at senior nats. At least that's what they are doing since 2017-2018 season. Junior nats almost don't matter.

She did really well at senior Nats and her other competition (Hana, Rino, Mana, Ayumi, Ami) have all had a few disaster programs.

I also think it might be a bit of a "look we have 19-year-olds with ultra-c elements" statement (Rion's going for the 4T)
