Nathan was not 100% perfect but he didn't need to be. His smile after the 4 lutz was golden. Overall the top 6 were a joy.

All medals well deserved. However, part of me is sad that Yuzu didn't get the bronze in the end, but based on his SP, his fourth place is probably justified.

But, well done Nathan on winning that gold medal after your disappointing 2018.

I enjoyed this competition. Loved the Japanese skaters finishing 2,3&4.

Jason Brown in 6th with such a simple program and a 2S. I guess I know why he deserves to be on the team. He is someone that always places in 6th to 10th and consistency helps assure and solidify 3 spots for USA at every event he is in.

I think Chen's Rocketman free skate at the Grand Prix Final was more stellar (see what I did there?) than this one, but he laid it down and no one could really catch him with his jumping prowess.

I would have been more comfortable if he got a 95 in PCS, but the judges respect technical difficulty as a part of an overall performance.

I remember in 2018, as a fan even back then, I was actually kind of glad he lost because that meant 4 more years.

I don't anticipate ever seeing him skate competitively again, but damn Nathan.... it has been a wild ride.

I thought for a moment the judges were going to be brave and give him the highest PCS which he should have gotten ( Nathan was great but not quite as great) but in the end they weren't brave enough. Still an amazing event. At least my favorite Shoma got a . He has three now.
