Daniel reminds me of a colt. Such long lanky limbs - he doesn't quite know what to do with them yet, but you can see the grown up waiting to come out. I'm excited to see how he matures as a skater.

Well done, Daniel! That was a pretty solid skate. That said, I really do not like this program for him. He does not have the posture, stretch, or line for a ballet program. I also find his jumps very unaesthetic. I very much appreciate his innovative spin positions though. So many of the spins are so 'samey', so it's nice to see something different.

Grassl's toeloop remains the worst in the field.

There’s something super scrappy about Grassl usually but here he looked like he was trying to to skate with finesse.

Given the high PCS given out he should score about 43ish and enough to clear 95 but tech calls might hold him behind Hanyu and Semenenko.
