Ouch, rough skate with 3 falls. Not the best way to start the day

Hello everyone, so here we go? This is what we have been waiting for for the last 4 years?

All the shady business going on is unfortunately shadowing my excitement...but I'm going to try not let it get to me and sheer on my sweet Katya!

When Jenni fell on the first 2 elements, I started getting horrible flashbacks to Elizabeth Golding last week.

Thankfully, things started coming together. But then she had another fall.

I had high hopes. 14th position was only 5 points ahead of her after the SP. But, the pressure got to her.

She's disappointed coming off the ice. But, at least there's no tears.

Urgh, Simon again saying that she's only in the FS because of Valieva being here. Clearly nobody has explained to him what I said when he came out with the same rubbish at the end of the SP.

Did I miss a fall? She got 4 points in deductions.

96.07 points in the FS, and 153.04 points overall.

It's not the way she would have wanted her Olympic debut to go, but I'm sure things will go better at her next event.

I really appreciate the CBC coverage of figure skating at this Olympics. I really like Belinda (and Olly too, I think). And I´m happy that I can avoid Daniel Weiss and Katharina Witt
I appreciate CBC stream too, but if SarahSynchro catches us being virtual Canadians we might be given the stink eye ;)
