I may sound out of sync but I’ll quote Eteri having a “clean tail”, I don’t know the English equivalent… but a person who does and means no harm to anyone, has come through hardships, karma, the previous Olympics it was Alina (breaking her leg learning hard combos, being deprived of family, being unable to drink or eat as she gains weight fast, rises and falls in the Olympic season and then putting up with all post Olympic drama). These Olympics it was Anna, even during these Olympics breaking her skates and suffering in pain wearing her second pair, delivered two clean programs. But I am devastated for Sasha… 5 quads and no gold. I get it that she’s not the most artistic and staff… but boy, 5!!! What else could this girl have possibly done? Attempted the triple axel… As for Kamila, I never felt for her, she always seemed arrogant, super sure of herself. Super happy for Kaori, has been her fan since 2019. Maybe there’s some God’s will out there giving those who deserve it most.

It's not about the number of quads, it matters how you execute them and skate your entire program.
Anna, clean as can be with all positive execution (GOE) and good component scores (PCS).

Trusova, inconsistent execution with some negative scoring (GOE) and lower component scores (PCS) than both Anna and Kaori.

The numbers are all there at the links I provided, if only you read them. I suggest you learn how skating is scored to avoid more confusion in the future. Skating isn't a game of he/she who does the highest number of quads wins.

Madeline Schivas may have delivered by herself a bronze medal for Canada...
Canadians will thank you for the amazing skate in the team event ...

In the team event... her total was 201.64 which may give Canada the Bronze medal ...
In the women's event, her total was 175.65...
We Canadians are very thankful and very grateful for the incredible skate during team event..

It's so sad. It reminds me of her second Rusnats win when she was sitting on the couch after winning, sandwiched between Alena and Sasha who were both upset. She was just awkwardly staring into space trying not to be happy.
I guess it's a "nice" problem to have, but I feel so bad for her. I think Worlds was the only (recent) place where she really looked happy to win, maybe because she was alone when she found out she won and could be as happy as she wanted.

I did a quick wiki search. And the one I found was 1980 champion, Anett Pötzch from German. But she did win the compulsory.
Sasha said she hates this sport and will never step on the ice
My theory is that she was slated to skate in the Team Event but Eteri gave Kamila both programs telling Sasha that with her 5 planned quads she would easily win gold hands down.

Usacheva? Is she in a skating condition now?
As for Trusova, we never know which might appear. Especially when she's in such a despondent state, can Russia risk losing a spot with her? (I know the other 2 can pick up the any slack, but still)

what can you expect from her? well from eteri you can expect nothing. she will not care because well she has the next few teenagers in the shadows. she cant even be bothered to protecti kamila or be there for her instead she was criticizing her the moment she stepped of ice, instead ofshowing she can support her skaters.
I only watched the sp so far, but Anna was the only Russian I liked and thought skated well. I've seen her described as the smart, thoughtful one. If the reports about Trusova's reactions are true, then perhaps there is something to say about each of their character and the way they approached training that reflected the outcome. Maybe if Trusova had not felt so entitled by her jumps since many years ago, she would have worked on other aspects of her skating and finished ahead of Anna. And after all, she did not even go clean in the short program. She was very, very generously scored.

That I understand. But the IOC not doing podium made much sense, which is why I did not agree with your original assessment.
It's not just the sensibility of a child that IOC has to placate. Not doing the medal ceremony was part to placate viewers/public too I believe. So, as much as it might appear as a punishment, I think it was crucial from PR standpoint.

she didnt bully her , she. blames the adults aroudn kamila, and she as so many other is for a clean sport. if you want to look at the guilty ones turn your eyes to the adults around kamila who let her down , let her be the skapegoat for what they did. and left her alone and unprotect and instead of shielding her from more pain they blame her for her bad skate!

that is what happens if you put so much pressure on teenagers! this is ehat hapoens when you train in an environment that installs in you the belief that anything but gold is not worthy and not something to be happy about ( remember zhenya told that at tcc she learned that you cant always be the first, and that it is ok and that another place is also great and soemthing to be happy about), . they are teenagers and they are humans with breaking points.I love Sasha and I get she may be disappointed, but what was that?
Anna did have quad though. If she didn't, Trusova would have won. Ok so she did more quads, she tried to jump her way to gold medal but she fell in the short program. The rest of her skating was really lacking.

you probably at this point have found out what she said. i am beyond disgusted how dare she blame kamila the moment she came of the ice. for gods sake whats so hard about hugging your 15 year old skater who has gone through so much this past fe dasy and tell her its ok, no instead kamila has to hear how dare she give up, why didnt she fight, well mabye because it was too much?!
