2022 Olympics: Women's Free Skate

Send Kamila to Plushy! She can have a giant cake on her birthday and he'll give her a hug when she does poorly. He's great with Zanina when she has a rough skate.

There is too much baggage with Kamila's current coaching team and if Rusfed had any sense they would ENCOURAGE a coaching change so she can start fresh. She's too talented for it to end here.

Why?! What would be the point of this? I get that she’s upset, but….

I don’t have a high opinion of Eteri atm, but I can sure see being unhappy about this behavior.
mabye because she wanted to be away from the team? to get the peace and wuite she mabye needs? she doesnt have anyone there to fall back onto because her family isnt there , and eteri and co would not even think to be there for her.

I don't know what their relationship is like or how Trusova is as a person
but It sounds like she lost a great amount of control in her life tonight and she's
trying to take it back in random ways that are more available.

Hopefully the people that care about her and her career will help her stop this
when she gets home because it could be a slippery slope.

Not me who said she was a volunteer, no matter volunteer or journalist, this is the reaction Kamila needs.
And, as we know , Sasha need attention and gold medalist need attention as well..no ??
4 years ago everyone blames Eteri because she “forgot“ about Alina .. and again ??

I just watched the final six skates of the night, and I never want to see any of them again. How sad for any competition, let alone an Olympic Games.

Good on You for delivering the elements, but I don't think her performance skills or musical interpretation are even top 8 at this competition.

There's a fair bit to like about Higuchi, but I don't think this program showcases her well.

Trusova had appallingly vacant or next-to-nothing choreography for most of the first three or so minutes. When I read about her behavior, I thought that maybe she had nailed her program and felt shorted, but she did not execute multiple elements well at all. And her skating skills? Please, judges, don't think you're fooling anyone with those marks.

Sakamoto is a skater I have grown to greatly admire since seeing her skate live in 2019, so I am thrilled for her success in Beijing, but I don't think either program was great for her in terms of connecting to her strengths or how she best emotes. Musical selection matters.

Shcherbakova has a kind of wooden doll quality to her movement that, when paired with her choreography, is even less appealing.

Valieva's short program this season has been quite nice, but this program was a mess, and then there's the whole testing positive for a banned substance piece...

If any of you reading are new fans, I promise that programs in the past didn't suck this much, but I can't promise that the women's event will get "better" anytime soon. What a mess!

Eteri isn’t blamed Kamila, she asked her -
Why did you stop competing? Why did you add something?
standard coach questions
Don't talk to them, they won't understand.
She is first of all a coach. And they always talk about the skate and mistakes right after the performance. At that she spoke without anger, not rudely, but rather she was just sad that the athlete after the first mistake let the program go on without a fight.
Thank God Eteri will have support in Russia.

I think they came up with a plan to take the heat off of their camp. I read their coaching staff were being investigated. Threw Kamila under the bus and decided Anna should be the winner and not caring about what Sasha did. That would explain why Kamila was so upset, not being able to skate her best like normal and why Sasha was so upset, not being apart of or even being aware of the plan.

Yup you see this in toddlers when their emotions overwhelm them and they cannot cope or have the words to verbalize it so they express it by throwing a tantrum.

And that is in NO WAY intended to be shade against Sasha. She's trained for all her life under conditions we can't even begin to imagine. I would also wager that she cannot speak her truth either and on some level she knows this so we're witnessing the meltdown because that's the only way she can have any form of expression. You're spot on that she's trying to take back some form of control.

That is quite the conspiracy theory.

She's 17 and she trains in a pressure cooker.

She's had to keep it together all week in order to practice, but nobody -- even the most level-headed adult -- could keep a lid on all those emotions forever. It was bound to happen IMO. Still, that does sound like one epic tantrum. :tantrum: I can't understand why somebody didn't just up and haul her out of there.
Wouldn’t that be child abuse?

mabye she should learn how to be supportive . other trainers even from russia look at mishin or even plushenko can hug their athletes when foming from the ice with a not so good Performance. she fould have told her those things later on but kamila just in this moment did not need that but just needed a damm hug and be told its going to get better. and that after all that was shown for the world to see you still think the sun rises and sets with eteri ist actually disturbing

Well we did not see hair pulling but most of it was broadcast live to the world today so it all consistent with what we all already witnessed.
i also didnt say hair pulling neither does the tweet just that from this translation a volunteer saw the interaction and saw sahsa beeing pulled onto the bus by eteri
